Our Mission
It’s My Testimony Women’s Circle exists to gather together women from all cultures and creeds for the common goal of giving and affirming our testimonies, learning about the art and benefit of testimony, and supporting organizations that were born of a founder’s testimony.
Our Story
The non-profit It’s My Testimony Women’s Circle started as a testimonial journal with contributions from 30 women. The 31-day devotional journal is It’s My Testimony: A Devotional Journal for Women by Women. Shortly after the journal was published, we became inspired to begin our testimonial non-profit.
The founder then partnered with Mount Olive Lutheran Church who applied for and received funding to become a part of the Testimony HQ project with Southern Methodist University. This was an initiative of the Lily Foundation to help churches connect with their community via the tenet of testimony. We are mentoring a second cohort of churches in how to use testimony to engage current members and evangelize to the community. We founded the non-profit and officially became a 501(c)(3) near the beginning of 2023.
The women who contributed to the 2020 devotional journal are already a part of the fabric of the organization. All programs and services will be geared toward adding to the number of participants by showing camaraderie and inviting our wider circle of friends to participate in the programming. Overall, we aim to continue our bonds with testimonial non-profits and their founders by donating items and writing spotlight newsletters to our followers. These are the people who we have engaged with on social media, including our Facebook group called It’s My Testimony Memory Wall, where the community is encouraged to share their testimonies.
We also do outreach through our newsletter platforms and the blogs on the website at www.itsmytestimony.org/blog. We have also had Bible study/testimonial sessions with The Women’s Circle’s members. We want to continue these weekly meetings at intervals throughout the year. We hope to extend our reach to many new members this year. The more members we engage, the more testimonies will be shared—and in response, more women will feel empowered.
